“Cheers and celebratory vibes all around”
Having spent the past couple of years fighting for each day has given me the gift of new perspectives. These countless life experiences have been challenging, but have also brought me my greatest blessings. One of those is my favorite thing to do: the ability to celebrate. Now even little things, such as making it a whole day without a rescue medication, enable me to celebrate. Today I celebrate something magnificent. Something that enables me to feel like myself and thrive. This week I was able to defy the odds and prove that I can thrive out of a hospital room. Prove that I am capable of still being a student. Today I am able to celebrate a full week of attending two classes every other afternoon. And that, is one of my happiest celebrations.
Thank you to my Palliative care team, medial team, home health care team, family, pain management processes, friends, teachers, the entire academic staff, my amazing God, and everyone with the good vibes. It’s because of you that I am able to celebrate!
