Dear Mom,
I am totally confident you know how to plant a tree. You know everything about the process, even from how the seed sprouts. You know what helps it to blossom. It is the water, nutrients, sunlight, and so much more. It is the whole “nurturing gift”. That is how I see you in my life. I am a seed, and you are each and every loving drop I have ever felt. I can’t thank you enough for being my “nurturing gift”…
For watching me take my first steps, first leaps into a new school year, and becoming an individual.
For being there every second in my current battle for my helath, no matter how exhausting and terrifying it may be.
For being my advocate when I am to ill to speak up.
For making sure I am given every chance to be as well off as I can be.
For putting on a brave face for me as we wave our heartfelt goodbyes for the countless procedures that take us away from each other, not knowing what is happening to me behind those big white doors.
For reassuring me I can do it when I don’t know how much more fight I have left in me.
For teaching me to be happy and thankful.
For being my guardian, my best friend, my role model.
Since thank you is not even near enough, I have another phrase. I love you. I love you Mom, and thank you.
Happy Mothers day to all of the Momma Bears in this world.
All of the hugs and love,
Isabelle
